Sports Reporting Technologies' Executive Team
Prior to launching Sports Reporting Technologies, company President Angela Charles founded Polysort LLC, a portal site for the plastics and rubber industries, and Pilot Fish SEO, a search engine optimization company. Before beginning these Internet ventures, Angela was a business journalist with Crain Communications Inc., where she helped launch trade publications Plastics News in 1989 and Waste & Recycling News in 1995.
Angela is an expert in Internet marketing and a sought-after speaker for business meetings and Internet marketing presentations.
As a former journalist and the mother of two high school athletes, she has taken particular interest in the development and operation of the company's SportsInk.com pilot site, which has enabled SRT to develop considerable expertise in the successful management of a high school sports reporting website.
Angela is married and has two sons who were in high school sports — Tom (football, baseball — now playing baseball for Wheeling Jesuit University) and Michael (boys' volleyball at Walsh Jesuit High School, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio).
Vice President Jeff Brewer, who also serves as general manager for SportsInk.com, was a college sports information director for 19 years before starting SportsInk, LLC, a sports media and consulting business, in 2002. As a college SID, he received 20 awards for excellence in writing and publications while at Penn State for seven years. He also worked as Director of Athletic Communications six years for the University of Akron. His sports media and consulting business served a variety of clients leading to the creation of SportsInk.com. Brewer has officiated high school basketball for 20 years and soccer for 10 years.
The Penn State graduate is married with two children, including son Rick, who plays basketball and runs cross country and track at Green High School, in Green, Ohio.
Sales Manager Cindy Robinson is an award-winning leader and marketing professional, expert in motivating teams to exceed performance goals. She is accomplished in new business development and improving company bottom line. Cindy has category experience in Healthcare, Finance, Education, Cable, Retail and Event Marketing, with demonstrated success in newspaper, Internet, magazine, direct mail advertising sales and EDI software sales.
Prior to joining Sports Reporting Technologies, Cindy worked stints at 1 EDI Source Inc., The Akron Beacon Journal and Ohio.com.
Cindy is married and is the mother of three current and former high school athletes, including Paul (2009 NAIA Collegiate Track and Field National Champion for Malone University) and Mike (cross country, track at Field High School, Mogadore, Ohio).
